The screen does a great job of breaking up foam and preventing it from entering the vacuum motor. It sits between the vac motor head assembly and the recovery tank. Even with the screen, we still recommend using a liquid defoamer when recovering any type of liquid.
When switching from dry to wet pickup, you'll need to remove the vac head and change out the cloth or paper filter from vacuum with this blue mesh screen.
